carseal pricing
carseal costs $9.99 for one car, or $19.99 for three cars ($6.66 per car). It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — there is nothing to cancel. One "protection credit" covers one rental car's whole cycle: the pickup scan, the return scan, the AI before/after comparison and the Return Certificate. Prices shown are US App Store tiers; the store charges your local price in your own currency.
What it costs
| Package | Price | Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Single protection | $9.991 credit | One car — pickup scan, return scan, Return Certificate |
| 3-pack protection | $19.99$6.66 per car | Three cars, same cover each — the better per-car value |
Both are consumable in-app purchases, bought through the App Store (and Google Play at Android launch). The app itself is free to download, and you can look around before buying anything.
What one credit actually covers
- A guided walk-around scan at pickup — about 90 seconds
- A second guided scan at return
- Sealing of both scans: per-photo SHA-256, a Merkle root signed by the server, an RFC-3161 trusted timestamp, and an append-only custody log
- The AI before/after comparison that separates genuinely new damage from what was already there — fail-closed, so any doubt counts as pre-existing
- The tamper-evident PDF Return Certificate, with a public verify link and QR anyone can check without an account
- The Claim Assistant: a rebuttal email, a card chargeback packet, or an insurance submission built from your sealed evidence
A credit is only spent on a car you actually scan. Read how the proof works for the mechanics.
Why it is not a subscription
Renting a car is occasional for most people, and a monthly fee for something you use twice a year is a bad deal that quietly renews. Credits are bought once, sit on your account until you use them, and carry no expiry date. If you rent three cars over two years, you buy one 3-pack and that is the entire relationship.
Frequently asked questions about pricing
How much does carseal cost?
$9.99 for one car, or $19.99 for a 3-pack ($6.66 per car). One-time purchase, no subscription. The App Store or Google Play charges the equivalent local price in your currency.
Is there a free trial or a free version?
The app is free to download and look around in. Scanning and sealing a car requires a protection credit, because each scan costs real money to seal, store and analyse.
Do carseal credits expire?
No. A credit stays on your account until you use it on a car, and it works across your devices because it is tied to your account rather than a phone.
Does one credit cover both the pickup and the return scan?
Yes. One credit is one car's full cycle — the pickup scan, the return scan, the before/after comparison and the Return Certificate. You never pay twice for the same car.
What happens if I never get charged for damage?
Then the credit did its job — you had proof and did not need to argue. carseal is priced as cheap insurance against a charge that averages far more than the price of a 3-pack, not as a service you use every day.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases go through the App Store and Google Play, so refunds follow Apple's and Google's own refund processes. If something went wrong on our side, email contact@carseal.ai and we will help.
