What your complete report includes
- A guided walk-around plus required close-ups at pickup
- A second guided scan at return
- Hashing of uploaded scans: per-photo SHA-256, a Merkle root signed by the server, an RFC-3161 timestamp token when the authority responds, and an append-only custody log
- The AI before/after comparison that flags possible changes for review — where it is unsure, it treats the mark as pre-existing. Hidden or poorly lit marks can be missed
- The PDF Return Certificate, with a public page that checks the stored hash record (not live file bytes)
- The Claim Assistant: a rebuttal email, a card chargeback packet, or an insurance submission built from your sealed evidence

The $9.99 report is a one-time purchase for one rental, with pickup and return included. There is no recurring charge. If you choose the optional three-report bundle, unused report credits stay on your account until you use them.

How much does carseal cost?

Can I scan the car before paying?
Yes. Capture your pickup scan first, then pay once to unlock its report. The return scan and final comparison are included with that purchase, with no additional payment for the same rental.
Do carseal credits expire?
No. A credit stays on your account until you use it on a car, and it works across your devices because it is tied to your account rather than a phone.
Does one credit cover both the pickup and the return scan?
Yes. One credit is one car's full cycle — the pickup scan, the return scan, the before/after comparison and the Return Certificate. You never pay twice for the same car.
What happens if I never get charged for damage?
Then the credit did its job — you had dated photos and a hash record ready if a charge arrived. carseal is priced as a small cost relative to a typical damage charge, not as a service you use every day. It is not insurance.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play. Refunds follow Apple's and Google's own processes. If something went wrong on our side, email contact@carseal.ai and we will help.
